It rained and rained. We needed it.
I love the sun…beautiful light streaming through the studio… calling me to grab my camera and click, click, click.
On the ‘flat’ cloudy days…not so much. Even though, I know, this light can be stunning too.
I decided it was time to embrace the clouds.
First a series of ‘through the window’ photos…
Then after the rain, sitting on the front porch… all the raindrops looked so beautiful.
I thought I should take some photos…and thought some more…and sat some more.
I almost couldn’t be bothered.
But then I did. Ben and we took a little walk-about around the yard.
I’ve shared here many times, our yard has been neglected since John’s diagnosis in 2013.
But there’s still little pockets of perfectly imperfect to be found.
And no matter how neglected, the daisies continue to play. Even faded… I love them.
Images were taken with the Nikon d850 and sigma ART 50 mm lens.
All images processed with the Hygge Collection presets. (color – together, b&w – blackwhite3).

In other news, I’m launching a new photo class soon. It’s called A Month of Multiples. Photo assignments to get you OUT OF YOUR BOX and making art. More soon.
