Please welcome my dear friend, Carol Hart ….for her final installment of the food phography series.
Carol, I can not believe a year has passed since you agreed to share with all of us here!
My word….how time flies.
Thank you for sharing so much of yourself…. your heart, passion and creativity are truly an inspiration.
With love and gratitude….
Hello, how are you?
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed I haven’t been there in a little while. I still love IG, but I just needed a bit of a break…I had been feeling a bit overwhelmed and needed some quiet and solitude. And that has been good more me. Really helped to clear my head and refocus my eyes to see the beauty all around me.
Feeling rested and newly inspired, I’m ready to re-engage…and what better place to start than right here on Kim’s beautiful site! So let’s get started shall we?
Several people have asked me about my work path in Lightroom so thought I’d share that with you today in Lightroom by walking you through my edit of the photograph above. See you there!
I hope you found this video helpful. Please leave any questions you may have in the comments below and I promise to respond.
Now here comes the hard part for me…this is my last monthly post on Kim’s site. Though there are no words that adequately capture what this experience has meant for me, but I will try.
Four years ago I ran across Kim Klassen’s “Cafe” website. Her images were, and continue to be, breathtaking and inspiring. Her writing always touches my heart. I’ve taken multiple classes from her over the course of these four years…I’ve learned so much. Not just about photography and Photoshop and Lightroom, but also about the importance to embracing those “be still” moments. I was thrilled when she asked if I would do a monthly post relating to Food Photography on her site. Thank you sweet Kim for having faith in me.
These monthly posts have been an amazing experience. I’ve so enjoyed connecting with all of you amazing, talented souls. Your questions have helped me to slow down and think before I answer. Your kind comments always brings a little lump to my throat. Your photography is beyond gorgeous and inspiring. Sharing your work has allowed me to see a bit of the world through your eyes. What a gift!
And so, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so very much.
