Oh my, it’s been a week. I had to share this story so I could look back on it at a glance.
It’s Tuesday morning… Bryce just left. He was home for Easter weekend. We celebrated Easter with my family and John’s and then again last night with just our little family. (John, me, Bryce, Brett & Lauryn and of course the pups (Ben & Otis).
I’m feeling super blessed and grateful for how far our family has come. Holidays used to be so stressful. Often filled with anxiety for Bryce and what might take place.
(I can’t believe I didn’t take any family Easter pics. Good grief.)
I do have a whole lot of lovely pics of my friend Karen from France (currently living in Brussels) that I wanted to share.
I’m still processing… the gift of last week’s visit with Karen. I can’t believe she came so far to see me for only a day and a bit.
I met Karen in Greece…at the Paros workshop. I knew immediately she was a kindred spirit.
At the end of the workshop, Karen said ‘I’m going to arrange a trip to see you again, Kim…and she DID.
I’ve been thinking about what I most wanted to share about her visit.
I can’t believe she came so far. (John said ‘you should be so honored, Kimmy.’)
I am… honored… humbled… amazed…..
I felt a bit nervous before Karen arrived. What if she was disappointed? Karen is from France….it’s not that I don’t love my prairie home but let’s face it….it’s not France, or Paros or Brussels or Sweden…. or or or….
Anyhow, as soon as I saw her, all my worries were gone.
We spent most of our time in the studio but also took a long lake walk. It was lovely to see our ‘world’ through Karen’s eyes.
Once again I was reminded, friendship is nothing to do with location.
It’s a true connection and ‘she gets me’.
Although we live in a virtual world, it’s the real-life connections that make ‘all this’ extra magical.
I’m inspired by Karen’s clear intention to decide what she wants, and then make it happen.
Beautiful. I just know you all would ADORE her too.
Thank you, Karen… you are aMazing and beautiful… INSIDE and out.
New week… new possibilities….Here’s to making dreams true.
