Hello lovelies,
How are you? I hope well….
Me? : )
I’m slowly finding my way out of the fog…..
Phew…..I was beginning to worry.
Totally off-topic…… but, speaking of fog and feeling human….
I’m sure most of you know about Emergen-C or Airborne….. (Canadian friends, Winners has it by the check-out at a great price.)
Anyhow, I just gotta give it a quick plug….if you are feeling a little run-down…on the verge of a winter cold…. run and grab some…It’s amazing……
At least it is for me…. Perhaps it’s a placebo thing? Regardless… it WORKS.
It’s not like I never feel a cold coming… But when I do… I stir up some Emergen-C…. 2 or 3 times a day for a day or two…and for the most part… I’m good to go.
The key…. you gotta stop the cold before it takes hold… At least that’s what I tell my boys….
If you wait (which they often do)….it’s probably too late….
My mom would tell me…. now’s a good time to knock on wood….. : )
That was a little random….. : ) Wasn’t it?
Back to ….. The single wabi-sabi rose……
Yesterday, I went to town to buy some fresh flowers for photos….
The post-Christmas selection …… dismal…..
I found 2 single roses…..the colour…the petals, the everything…..beautiful. But they were on their last days…..
I took them up to the counter…and asked the cashier for a break….
She agreed they looked a little sad….but seemed a bit confused…
I’m thinking… she was thinking…if they are so sad, why do you want them?
Rather than oversharing….which I often do….
going on about….I need flowers for photos…. the lovely wabi-sabi-ness of them….and so on…
I simply smiled as she asked her manager about a discount…..
The manager agreed….and sweetly wrapped them for me……
This is one of the beauties…. Stunning isn’t she?
Today’s photos were taken on my newly white brick fireplace and mantle….
John surprised me while I was in California and painted it white. ( a whole other story….for another day).
I’m loving it….
Oh and…bonus….
After taking the rose photos…..I turned around to find Ben… basking in the sun….. (bliss)
