My name is Beverly. I started learning from Kim in March 2012, and have enjoyed every class she has offered. It all started with learning to apply textures after seeing the lovely results others were getting from Kim’s textures and using PS. Not all of my photos are textured, but they are all edited in LR. I blog at LavenderBleu.
I’m so happy to be guest hosting Texture Tuesday today.
My images today are from a recent shoot I did of fresh pepper berries. I ordered a fresh bunch from the florist. Last year I tried to buy them, but I was too late for the fresh, in-season ones.
The berries actually have a nice, strong pepper fragrance, and the florist tells me I can dry them by hanging upside down. I sure hope they will. These berries come in several colors… red, pink, and green. I liked the pink.
Most often when I photograph pastel colors, for me, it feels right to have a more high-key, light and dreamy background.
These photos were edited in LR adding a touch of auto exposure, highlights, and pulling out clarity to give a softer, dreamy mood. In PS/CC I added Cloth and Paper (my very favorite texture collection) kk_belize, at soft light, and 62% opacity. The texture was brushed from the berries with the brush opacity at about 50-60%.
Thank you Kim for inviting me to be a guest host today.
Thank you Beverly for hosting TT and share your GORGEOUS work.
Happy TT… ….with gratitude….and much love….
