Yesterday I shared a few photos of our beautiful granddaughter.

I’ve shared on my zooms, but not on my blog
I am Mimi Kim.

My son Brett teases me about this …. all the time.
Cause you couldn’t just be Grandma?’ He says with a smile.

Exactly.’ I reply.

And then I remind him of our phone call a few weeks before she was born.

I was out walking and talking to Him and Gigi on the phone.

Gigi asked
what will baby call you?”
I replied
not Grandma but I’m not sure. Oh dear, we need to figure this out.’

As I walked they started googling ‘alternative for Grandma’.
When Mimi came up I was like.
Yes! I like that.’
then Gigi said.
Mimi Kim…I will start calling you that now.’

And she did. And here we are.
And I love being Mimi Kim so much.

It was just a few months back
we were all gathered around in awe of every move Magdalena made…
I corrected my Mom or maybe Dad. (again).
I’m not Grandma. I’m Mimi.’

John said:
No one told me we could pick our name.’

We replied.
What would you like to be called?’

John:
Oh I don’t know. Grandpa’s fine.’

He completely missed the Mimi thing ‘til after she was born. How? I do NOT know.

What does this have to do with stolen moments?
I almost forgot myself.

All this story to say…
I took these few quick pics right before the girls arrive.

Pockets of time, stolen moments… can offer us lovely gifts as well. We just gotta grab ‘em up and see what comes.

And that concludes 31 Days of Blogging in July.

I’m working on a post about this experience. More on that soon.
But in a nutshell it’s been completely lovely and surprisingly easy to keep up.

Maybe I will do it every July…Hmmm, I must think on this a little more.
