This Beautiful Book & Pretty Print & Paper Project Ideas
Woo hoo, my copy of Curate by Lynda Gardener & Ali Heath with photography by Marnie Hawson arrived and it’s even more beautiful than I imagined.
Like that line from Jerry Maguire, ‘you had me at hello’… the linen-covered spine. Be still my heart.
Curate
An inspirational guide to home decorating with the perennially popular elements of a neutral palette, natural ingredients and a carefully curated mix of vintage and modern pieces - from influential stylist and decorator, Lynda Gardener and interiors writer and stylist, Ali Heath
with the loveliest matte paper, stunning photography, and a whole lot of inspiration to make our spaces more magical, I highly recommend.
A Little Slow-Mo Peek Inside
In other news, the paper/printing projects continue.
This month and next in the Inner Circle we’re celebrating Christmas in July (& August) with a mix of creative print projects (for gifting - or keeping/hoarding for yourself).
Our first project is pretty printed notebooks.
The members were provided with a few different print-page layouts or invited to design their own in Photoshop. And oh my there have been some lovely notebooks coming to life!
And as it often does…One thing leads to the next and another around here.
My first few notebooks were simple printed dateless planner pages with a watercolor paper cover folded in half and staple bound. Easy, peasy, and quite lovely.
But then (after a night on youtube, followed by a trip to Michaels for a few supplies) I attempted my first saddle-stitched notebook.
I was pretty excited, even a little proud, only to open the notebook to discover the pages were upside down. (not at all surprising for me.)
Next came a canvas-covered notebook, with a sweet little envelop pocket inside. ♡ Still a bit of a work in progress but my word the possibilities are MANY.
And last but not least, this one with a beautiful linen-paper stock cover. (truly luxurious)
Stitched with mustard burlap string, sealed with a chunky clip and quote card. My fav so far. I think.
And I haven’t forgotten the simple note pages that I shared here last week. Did you grab the free download?
This week I printed some more pages, trimmed, stacked, and clamped the notes, and made a for-real notepad thanks to tips from my friend Russ and the tutorial he made for the Inner Circle.
Then came another idea that I’m sure will continue to evolve.
I cut this cover from a paint sample book.
Then hole punched my note pages and attached them to the cover with a prong fastener. remember those?
Take a peak.
Of course, all the note pages were printed on Hammermill paper using the HP Tango.
All and all, it was a wonderfully creative and full week around here.

if you’re curious about the Hp Tango vs the Hp Tango X…They’re the same printer accept the X comes with a linen cover.
