The New Photoshop ‘Reflection Remove’ Tool is Brilliant
Hello Lovely,
I found the loveliest shadow box frame at Dollarama, popped in a lovely vintage print, and thought, Perfect, I need to photograph this...
Fail.
The glare was horrific.
I went to remove the glass, but being a ‘cheap’ frame the glass was built in.
So I thought, I’ll simply enjoy it.
Then, just a day or so later, Adobe rolled out the coolest Reflection Removal update and it does not disappoint.
LET ME SHOW YOU
Step-by-Step: Removing Glass Glare
Update Photoshop/Camera Ra2 through the Creative Cloud App.
Capture in RAW: Jpegs and HEIC are not compatible with this feature.
Open in Camera Raw: Instead of launching Photoshop, find your photo in Finder or Explorer and right-click to open in Photoshop. Camera Raw should automatically open to your photo.
Activate the Feature: In Camera Raw, head to the top-right settings>Technology Previews> and enable the feature.
Apply the Reflection Removal: Navigate to the 'Remove' panel, check 'Distraction Removal', and let the magic begin. It’ll take a beat but I would say it’s worth the wait!
Fine-Tune If Necessary: If the tool misses any spots, use the remove tools for final adjustments.
Over to You
Have you tried this?
I’d love to hear how it goes—as always please share in the comments below.
